Highest Paved Road in New Zealand
This is just before our flat tire. Location is best described in two words: VERY. COLD. We took this route because it's shorter than going the long way around, but it's also a really fun drive - lots of twisties.

If you want twistie roads, come do Red Mountain Pass Ouray to Silverton sometime. Cliffs too.
